Pet Sitting and Quality Care |
Pet sitting is a relatively new concept and pet owners all over are recognizing it as the better option when traveling. In the past, a pet owner usually boarded their pet in a kennel or called upon the help of family and friends. Although some pets do very well in a kennel environment others, especially older pets, find it to be an upsetting experience. By calling on the services of a pet sitter, the owner can leave the pet in it's own secure, familiar space. Pets are creatures of habit, just as people are; by staying in their own home they are able to follow their normal eating, medication and exercise routines. Plus, it eliminates the pet owners' need to worry about the welfare of their pets. Friends and family are a great low cost option, however, they may find the job burdensome, may not love pets and might not know how to tell if something is medically wrong. Pet sitters do much more than provide your pet with food and water while you're away from home. A good pet sitter also spends quality time with your pet, gives him exercise, and knows how to tell if your pet needs veterinary attention. What's more, pet sitters typically offer additional services, such as bringing in mail and newspapers, watering plants, turning lights on and off, and providing homes with a lived-in look to deter crime.
